FAQ

Standard check-in is from [3:00 PM to 8:00 PM], and check-out is by [11:00 AM]. However, because we offer a secure lockbox, self check-in is entirely possible if you are arriving late or prefer a flexible arrival time. Just let us know your plans!
Because Maison Gally is located right in the heart of the historic Bastide (new city), we do not have private on-site parking. However, there is metered street parking available right outside the house, and a secure public parking garage just a short walk away at Jacobins/Place du Général de Gaulle. There are also open air paid parking lots at both MJC and Rue Barbes.
To preserve the 16th-century architecture of this designated French historic monument, we have maintained a traditional layout on the second floor. Our four guest bedrooms share two separate, modern shower rooms and one separate WC (toilet). The facilities are cleaned meticulously and regularly to ensure comfort for all our guests.  Guests may also use the WC on the entry level and the 1st floor adjacent to the innkeeper suite.

We would love to host you for a traditional French apéro (light bites) on the veranda or in the dining room (20 euros per person, wine, beer, and soft drinks are available on a per/glass basis).  Because we use fresh, local market ingredients, we kindly ask that you request aperos at least 24 hours in advance.

A complimentary, delicious continental breakfast is included in your stay. We serve fresh pastries, bread from our favorite local bakeries, jams, fruit, coffee, and tea. Breakfast is served in the family-sized dining room or on the outdoor deck from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Please let the innkeeper know your desired breakfast time and preference for coffee or tea the night before.
Because Maison Gally is a historic home built in the 1500s, it does not have an elevator. The guest bedrooms are located on the second floor and are accessed via a beautiful, but historic, marble stairway. Therefore, it may not be suitable for guests who have difficulty climbing stairs.
Yes, dogs are permitted for an additional pet fee of 15 euros per night. I have two friendly resident dogs who call Maison Gally home. To ensure a peaceful environment for all guests, we ask that dogs be kept in guest rooms except when they need to exit or enter the house for walks and they should not be permitted to wander the inn.
Yes! Despite the 16th-century stone walls, we offer complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the house so you can easily plan your daily excursions or stay in touch with loved ones back home.

“A superlative experience!“

“If you are searching for an unforgettable stay in Carcassonne, you need look no further. Both Zeric and his 16th-century house are charming, interesting, and welcoming. The house is superbly clean and tastefully decorated, with an open, relaxed vibe. Zeric possesses a wealth of local knowledge on the best places to visit, alongside providing an excellent breakfast.” – Yelena

“Magical and special…” “This place is one of a kind. The home is so magical and special. It’s in a perfect location, walkable to the castle and to all the shops. Zeric brought us croissants and set out a cute breakfast in the morning. Super clean bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen. 10/10 – our favorite place we’ve stayed so far.” – Kimberly

“Historic luxury…” “Zeric has created a very unique and extremely memorable experience sharing his extraordinary home and providing an excellent quality of presentation and hospitality. I would highly recommend staying at Maison Gally as it truly is historic luxury with an extremely hospitable host. The facilities were clean and the bedrooms very comfortable and warm in winter.” – Roz

“Peaceful and centrally located.” “I really enjoyed staying in Zeric’s beautiful historic house. The old town is just a few minutes’ walk away. Despite the central location, it is very quiet (my room was in the courtyard) and I enjoyed the evenings on the terrace very much. It was a perfect start to the day.” – Susanne

“A beautifully restored home from the 1500s. Large, comfortable rooms and a terrific ambiance. Zeric (a distinguished and serious fellow with a penchant for jazz) met us at the train station and was super helpful and informative throughout our stay. Breakfast of coffee and croissant was lovely and his espresso maker made the perfect pour. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay or a better value.” – John
